When it
came time to find a designer to represent at
Petali Teas the decision was easy.
We love the Uzbekistan designer, Inga Nataya!
She has captured all the details reminiscent
from the Edwardian tea period.
Her tea dresses are layers of lace, tulle,
chiffon, satins and silks. Just
putting one on transports the spirit to a
different period when things were safe,
congenial and romantic. The age of love! Nataya
is about the richness of detail. Details
from cultures that she has been exposed to
during her lifetime. From the heart of
Asia to Europe. You will love her stunning
interpretations of costume and fashion.
The
romantic tea dress was worn between three
p.m. and six p.m. each day. It was a
romantic garment with a sheath and flowing
over layers in lace, chiffon and tulle.
It usually hit at the ankle and was free of
corsetry.
Nataya incorporates these Edwardian elements
into her designs creating tea dresses that
are appropriate for any age and any
occasion.
